Overpaying for a player Lane wants for his system then trying to force them into yours isn’t going to be benefit you or the player. We will find someone else, it will hurt you more than it will us.

You're really coping buddy. You have no clue what we are paying for any recruit, and we run the exact same system. But if you need to tell yourself that we're overpaying and only doing it to hurt Lane in order to feel better about losing recruits go ahead.
I guess Texas Tech is just out to get Lane too.
And now LSU with the giant war chest to buy all the recruits is feeling thrifty. Ok bud.

I think Lane honestly thought he could come in year one and just buy whoever he wanted. However, there are billionaires out there that are funding some of these schools. Tech has an oil tycoon running things, and Texas and A&M have a LOT more money than most schools. Not to mention the likes of Alabama and UGA starting to pay more attention to the portal. tOSU, Penn State, etc ...
Lane is going to have to rely on LA kids originally, which shouldn't be an issue. Getting other kids out of the portal could actually be an issue since he is being painted as the bad guy in CFB right now.

Its been like 4 years straight of Ole Miss spending big in NIL. Ole Miss literally just matched LSU's offer in salaries and NIL during the Kiffin bidding war.
Yet some of you tigers still cant read the writing on the wall. The Ole Miss NIL system was built by Rebels and it has been built from the ground up to keep going year after year after year.
Yall will figure it out eventually I suppose.
