Arkie is playing great basketball (8 in a row) now, not sure what was going on early in the year. Clearly one of the top 4 teams in the conference. They have the game at home, whiteout, the place will be intense. Auburn wins this and we can win anywhere. Also our Point Guard has been out since Saturday (non-Covid related illness) and has not practiced.

Only way Auburn keeps it close is with the refs in their pocket

Which they usually are. After all between refs and cheating that's the only way Auburn ever wins anything

Me either, I’d kinda written them off to tell the truth. Not even in a mad way I assumed this roster just didn’t click together but then we came around. Props to Muss on that. That said, from what I’ve seen of Aub- which isn’t a ton but it’s been enough to ascertain y’all are damn good and look big to me- I am assuming a loss tonight. Hopefully I’m wrong again. Even if not, I hope it’s a damn good game and the fans have something to be hoarse about tomorrow.

If we are without Zep then we could lose.

Arky‘s free throw rate at home is almost 40%. They literally get the best home whistle in the conference according to the stats.

That’s interesting I would not have assumed that because there’s been a few games when I’ve wondered where the home cooking was or if the refs were confused.

What exactly is free throw rate tho anyway? Don’t think I’ve ever seen reference to that before.

Free throw rate is FTA/FGA and is used to determine how a team is doing getting to the line.

Pretty sure this is an alter.

Ark is going to be a very tough game. If AU plays like they did against the worst team in the SEC last weekend, we’re in trouble.

Zep is going to be out again this weekend and we really need his defensive play.

Ok makes perfect sense. Just one of those stats I didn’t know about- kinda like the majority of columns on KenPom. Looks confusing to me so I just look at the overall rankings.

No one has the refs in their pocket more than Arkansas at home.

So we are well coached and able to get to the line

The hype is because Arkansas historically dwarfs Auburn. Both have elite coaches now and the Hogs are on a run and playing at home at one of the toughest road venues in basketball. Not hard to figure out..

Auburn is +3 against Georgia and Missouri at their home arenas.

Arkansas beat UGA by 26 and Missouri by 44, for a difference of +70.

I don't understand anyone using transitive property metrics for basketball. I expect tonight to be our toughest game to date, but didn't ya'll take it on the chin when you played choklahoma?
