Florida doesn’t want lsu as a permanent opponent. They want Georgia Tennessee and kentucky or South Carolina
They have a lot more history with LSU than Tennessee. Kentucky is a decent option.
IMO the big six and OU/Texas/A&M should generally have two of the three against other and the third against the bottom half of the conference.
Off the top of my head something like:
Alabama: Tennessee, Auburn, MSU
Auburn: Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina
Florida: Georgia, LSU, Kentucky
Georgia: Florida, Auburn, USC
LSU: Florida, Ole Miss, A&M
Oklahoma: Texas, Missouri, Tennessee
Tennessee: Alabama, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma
Texas: Oklahoma, A&M, Arkansas
A&M: Texas, LSU, MSU
Arkansas: Texas, Ole Miss, Missouri
Kentucky: Florida, Vanderbilt, Missouri
Ole Miss: LSU, MSU, Arkansas
MSU: Alabama, Ole Miss, A&M
Missouri: Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kentucky
South Carolina: Georgia, Auburn, Vanderbilt
Vanderbilt: Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina

Since Arkansas joined the SEC 30+ years ago with several scheduling shuffles, they have played Vanderbilt 8 times and Kentucky 8 times.
I remember when Houston Nutt was complaining about scheduling and when he finally played Vandy, they lost!

anksgiving. What would be wrong with that?
Nothing wrong with it imo.. I think it aceually makes a lot of sense for A&M to play LSU.
LSU vs A&M
Texas vs Arkansas
Oklahoma vs Missouri
It’s the only possible solution for an annual conference rivalry game. All 3 games are permanent opponents. At least 2 teams are playing a rotation game or playing an OOC otherwise.
