The athletes can get jobs now; or have a side hustle. Seems like everyone is just assuming that every kid is going to start their own brand or company, etc. but I don’t think that is necessarily the case. I guess time will tell.

This right here. Most of this is just going to open up opportunities for the non-revenue athletes or the lesser known football/basketball players to do ads here and there for local businesses.

And so what if boosters pay out their asses for NIL stuff. It's not any different than what is happening now. The only difference is that they won't get in trouble for it.

I thought the same while watching that segment on ESPN2 last night. Not going to make a difference for the vast majority of players.

boosters with control of large corps. will make sure recruits know they'll be representing them when they sign with their school.

Yep, lowly chargers will be a thing of the past.

I say why not? What if he has a great year and people want something of his? Doesn’t take much to upload your logo to a company that drop ships. No overhead and no work.

There are tons of websites that let you create an online store for nothing. All you have to do is choose from their product blanks and give them the logo. They take care of everything else.

They're all partnering up with the same company and licensed their name.

He plans to start selling t-shirts and whatnot with that logo on. Is it just me or is almost nobody gonna buy this?

that isn't how this works. it isn't about what people are going to do, it is about what boosters are going to do.

Coaches will make deals with recruits promising them if they come to that coach, that coach will line up a booster who will promise to buy 10,000 shirts with that stupid logo on it. Will anyone wear them or will they be seen in public? no but the player still gets their money.
