You're getting down voted, but it could happen. Look at Bo Nix. He has improved 10 fold since his frosh season. It's no different than Bama or Vol fans thinking their qb will step up.

At OU and last season, Rattler demonstrated that if you can give him some help (by having some other weapons available), he is pretty good. He just can't carry a team by himself the way that Caleb Williams can.
Looking forward to seeing how he does this season. Although the situation at OU kind of sucked for him, he did as a solid by winning a conference title and being a part of perhaps the two most exciting Red River games of all time. (Although Texas fans didn't like the outcome those years).

SC has some talent in the defensive secondary. It's the strength of their defense. Where they struggle is stopping the run.

I think our D is going to surprise some, along with our O Line. I think the problems we've had the past couple of season is Marcus Shatterfield's garbage, too complex offense. I'm curious to see how Dowell Loggains offensive scheme will be. If he keeps it simple, like the end of the season when Shatterfield was riding the pine, I think Rattler will do very well. Which will help out the defense. Way too many 3 and outs the last 2 years under Shatt, gassed our defense.
