no ball was getting out of LF at LSU yesterday with wind blowing in
only chance was to hit it out towards rf
once we get later in the spring the Box becomes much more conducive to HR's due to humidity and winds coming from the south
the ball Hernandez hit was hilarious. OF camps out at the warning track to make the catch, then he comes sprinting in and the ball ends up barely getting out of the infield due to the wind. The wind was wild yesterday

Reminder: Tennessee's opponents still all get 27+ at bats each game on our launch pad of a field. Hit better

Also, elevation. The tiny ballpark park is also 1000’ above sea level. They also are oriented to the south with the frequent north wind to their backs.

Well girls have been saying for years you just have to get used to smaller sizes at Tennessee…..lol

Should be a law no shorter than 320 to left. High school fields are bigger than that.

You're right. Their ballpark is 395 feet to left center, which is pretty ridiculous.

At 1000’ elevation a ball hit 400 feet at sea level will travel 401.5 to 402 feet.
Wind is a MUcH bigger factor.

So there's the ptoof that Tenn hr numbers are inflated due to playing on a high school field

maybe the wind blows a lot out there. I can remember balls flying out of that place...may have been a long time ago though
Those numbers are in the new ballpark, KPP. My guess is you’re thinking of playing in the Cliff (demolished in 2023).

ah i didn't realize they had a new one. UK used to hit a ton of HR's but now they seem to play small ball and steal bases...makes sense now

Those dimensions are not correct for Fla. Also, last season somebody did an overhead sketch of everyone's field and put the outlines all together in differing colors and it was really cool.

These dimensions are not accurate. Lindsey Nelson stadium left center field is 385ft according to what is painted on the wall. I have a picture from the most recent game that will show it.
Rest of the dimension are correct though!

Wrong! Tennessee actually hits homeruns at the same rate away from home as they did at home last year. Also the other team gets as many at bats as Tennessee and yet the ball isn’t flying out for them. Why is that? Also these numbers are not correct as it’s 385ft in left center for Lindsey Nelson stadium, not 365. Look at the pictures in my other post to see proof. Also 400ft home runs go out of every ball park on the sec!

Tennessee plays on the smallest field in the conference.
It's just a fact.

Tennessee dimension are correct for most part except in left center where it’s 385ft.

You keep saying this yet the official Tennessee webpage actually lists left center at 360 feet.

Let me show you a picture of the last home game I attended a week ago,
Most certainly says 385 left center, online is obviously not updated,

What’s also a fact is that the other team plays on the same field with same amount of at bats and still can’t hit it out. Why?
