In 2017 while at FAU he went for it with :14 sec left in the game from his own 24 yard line.
In 2021 while at Ole Miss he went for it on 4th twice deep in his own territory, own 29 & 31 against Bama.

Okay, but Lane has always been someone that could choke in close games or games he should have won. He always has dumb losses in him. He can occasionally cook up a few genius plays but the issue with Lane is he can absolutely drop the ball in an big time game with a bonehead decision without warning and the team will pay for it in some way or another.

Great OC but an uninspiring head coach. You can tell he never was told no by his parents.

Hell this dumb arse even went for it on his own 30 up 11 points against OU in the 4th quarter. Didn’t get it then proceeds to almost lose the game.

In 24 going on 4th down a few times against the Gators backfired on him.
