So you gave up 40 points in about 2 quarters of play?

A & M on both fields this year in my opinion. Assuming its at the end of the season. Early in the season they split.
I think this is probably the correct answer. There was a marked improvement in the Aggies from the beginning of the season to the end.

We had a bunch of starters out on D vs La Tech.. It screwed up our ability to cover Patton. Patton is one of the best receivers we saw ALL year. He will be a force in the NFL.
We were rotating guys all around trying to pick up the slack. It is a real testament to how lucky we were to not have a bunch of injuries this season on D.

Gamecocks win. Gamecocks have too much speed on defense. D.J. Swearinger and Clowney eat JFF's lunch.

So A&M wasn't deep enough to handle La.Tech?

We have had depth issues on D all year... It is not a secret. Had we lost a few guys to injury, we would not have 10 wins.
I forgot how sumlin put it in the post game interview, but he said something to the effect of, "we rotated 13 guys on defensive this game.." I am sure someone can correct my statement.

Those were the guys that were supposed to be suspended for the first game...until the first game was UF.

I dunno about that, you both played us, you both played Florida, and Georgia D is probably equal or better than Alabama's.
A&M O is more efficient though.
He was saying Texas A&M's offense played against better defenses than Clemson. Which is absolutely true. A&M's offense is better than Clemson's.
Though, I will point out that Clemson scored 37 at FSU early in the season before they had injuries and that one guy kicked off the team. Pretty impressive what we were able to do a couple weeks ago.

Two corrections:
A&M lost to LSU at home, 24-9.
A&M lost to LSU at home, 24-19.
A&M lost to Florida at The Swamp, early season day game, 20-17
A&M lost to Florida at Kyle Field, early season day game, 20-17
A&M lost to LSU at home, 24-9.

I thought you had something like 17 defensive players play over 100 snaps.

I forget the exact number but it was really low for a D1 team vs an air raid no huddle type offense. The suspensions hurt us bad. We also had Campbell (DB) injured, and he quit shortly after for personal reasons I believe.
Not to take anything away from La Tech's O. I can't believe they are not in a bowl due to some administrative blunder. I would have loved to see them play another big D1 team. I've become a La Tech fan after that game.

Agree with the early season/USC late season/A&M crowd. USC was really rolling until LSU. They recovered after the UF drubbing but never dominated. A&M started off very inconsistent. Had a couple of close losses and a couple close wins. Then starting with Miss State turned a corner that put everyone on notice with Bama but absolutely dominated the other 4 teams they played.
USC clearly was a better home team than a road team. A&M was actually undefeated on the road and lost 2 tough ones at home. Clowney vs Joekel/JFF would have been interesting.

Damn, did I do that? I gotta get some new bifocals, seriously, I've been having to squint too much and been making too many mistakes. My bad. Thanks for the corrections. Honestly, in retrospect, those were more typos - I just didn't stroke the 1 key properly on the first one and I made several other references to Florida beating A&M at Kyle Field, so I had one syntax error there in the process of moving the data from one site to this thread evidently.
I just need to proof read and quit letting the grandkids distract me ... the little rugrats are all over me this time of year. It's the Christmas Tree and the presents under it that are making them crazier than shithouse rats right now.

They turned down the invitation for the Indy bowl.
Totally their fault.

With regard to "never dominated" (after the UF game) - I guess you didn't watch the Clemson game at BCS #10 Clemson with SC fielding a backup QB, RB, OLman for SC and the fact that SC had 40 mins TOP compared to Clemson's 20 mins TOP.
I have no idea who would win the game - but I know all of this "late season" stuff where SC is concerned is irrelevant and an easy guess.
SC's Defense would still wreak havoc on JFF and A&M's offense imho. Now, could SC's offense be methodical vs A&M's defense? Yes, I think so, imho.

Outside of Greenville pretty much all of SC is Gamecock territory and Charleston is a great city and CoC >>>>> Clemson.
eta: Not to mention they certainly have had one of the best basketball teams in the state over the last couple of years. And as for baseball I still think they got screwed in the regionals @CCU a couple of years ago.

Oh, definitely. 80% of this state is Gamecocks. Greenville and a good bit of Spartanburg seemed to be Clemson territory. Charleston has got to be 80-85% Gamecocks. We have our little pockets of UNC, UGA, and UVA fans (main 3), but it's easily the overwhelming majority Gamecock fans.

USCe just because they have such a fast DL. They could do to JFF what LSU did.
