Looks good, thanks for posting the pics. I enjoy watching the progress of stadium construction projects. Unique looks and approaches are interesting. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Most of my extended family is from Luzyanna and I was born there. My family moved to Texas when I was in 3rd grade. I became an Aggie in 5th grade but still pulled for the tigers. I went to College Station in the '80s and still pulled for LSU except when they played the Aggies.
A funny thing happened, LSU got good and their fans, including most in my family became insufferable winners. You would think they never played football before Saban was there because in their mind, all those years of suckage don't exist.
I don't pull for the tigers anymore.

This is just about football.I grew up hearing the names of SEC teams while A&M was in the SWC. When Big12 came, I just didn't feel playing those Big12 North teams was a conference game. ISU,KU,KSU,NU,CU all felt like out of conf. OSU and OU in the South got better but still felt strange. This first year, every SEC felt important and intense like a conference game should.
One thing I've noticed, and not just A&M games, SEC officiating is the worst I've seen. So many obvious blown calls and straight out ignoring of penalties.

scared to play <> do not want to be in same conference. Aggie president has said from the point of leaving Big12 they would like to continue to play Texas. Texas has continued to say it is "up to them (Texas)when that happens". Stay on topic.

I would go with every team that has a new head coach next year.
Stages of new coach hire
1. Why did we hire X? Y is a much better coach/better fit, etc.
2. X actually might be a great hire. I hear he is bringing Z in as an assistant/recruiter.
3. X is a great recruiter! The only recruits he lost are replaceable. Did you hear about the sleepers he found?
4. X sure is running things right during spring practice. The only reason the offense/defense is not doing well is because the defense/offense is so great!
5. X is really connecting with alums/fans! He is a great fit and high school coaches practically push their stud players to sign with XU.
6. We are hearing great things this fall practice. It is a matter of days until the Clearinghouse clears the JC player A to practice. He will be a great starting left tackle and the freshman currently slated to start can redshirt this year.
7. Why aren't we ranked! We will win 9 at least. I hope attendance doesn't suffer because of the blowouts in the non-conf games.
8. First game is finally here, everyone will now see how smart we were with our coaching hire. All the other fans of XU on the rant will finally be vindicated.

I don't believe many question going for it, it is the play calling that most are surprised at. All that was needed was an inch or two. Refs would have given the spot on a QB sneak no matter if it was no gain.

I surely look forward to watching this game. There are a lot of unknowns on both sides. I think UF had a typical 1st game against a good BG team. I think A&M is at a big disadvantage by not playing the LaTech game. One of the better games next week to watch.

Starting DTs were held out. Also, we have a hell of an offensive line. QBs probably not challenged by up the middle pressure.
If Manziel can keep his head on straight, he will be perfect for the offense. Showers has the better arm but Manziel is at another level when it comes to play making.
