That is entirely on the defense. We are talking about QB's here.

He's a backup QB for the best QB in the nation. You know, the guy at the top of the list at that link. Of course he's not going to be on the list for this year. Was this post for real?

More projection. What I stated is a fact, what you’re suggesting is whenever a player reps his high school instead of college on Monday night football that college can’t claim him as alumni. Like I said double standards and total denial of reality.

Oh now I see where we got sideways. You apparently confuse “facts” with “hypothetical scenarios” you invented in your head (Hurts staying one more year at Bama). I’m going to go grab a couple of beers, you carry on with your window licking.

Maybe? If I was a top anything and had no natural allegiance to any team, I'd be wanting to play at Bama.

Honestly not many people in Oklahoma give a shite. Everyone here understood we had a growing year when Kyler left, and if somebody could step in for one year while Spencer Rattler cut his teeth that was all it was. I as an Oklahoma fan do not consider Jalen as one of ours. He didn't really fit our offense.

This, and he still finished 2nd in the Heisman voting. Coming to OU was business for him. That year, playing under Riley, is what got him drafted into the NFL and now a starter.

Between the NFL and FBS, LR has 5 QB's who played for him starting in week 1(not counting Rattler), Mayfield, Murray, Hurts, Tanner Mordecai, and Austin Kendall

ETA: Post is about how much better he got under Riley then he already was.

I can see why fans of Alabama or Oklahoma would pull for him.

Don't see a problem with it.

I just hope he continues to surprise because I sure as hell didn't think he would be an NFL QB.

I loved him coming here. He instantly took over in the locker room and was the reason we didnt have a down year between Murray and Rattler.

My comments weren't intended to be a ding on Jalen. He's a great guy, a hell of a leader and did great things in our community. That doesn't make what I said any less true though. He did not fit OUs offense when he came here. The entire game plan had to be tailored to him, which included a shite ton of Jalen runs.

Same here, not throwing a dig at you or him, I was agreeing. He didnt fit our offense and STILL finished second in the Heisman. He was that good and LR made him better

We got Tua drafted the same year you got Burrow drafted and he was starter.

Not sure you wanted to compare QBs from Alabama vs QBs from LSU!

It would be fun to read that game thread again. Anyone got a link? Willy, you got a link to that thread?

It was a hoot.

Corndogs enjoyed about 3 occasions during that game thread. Longest was the dumbass who dropped the football (like a corndog) short of the goal line as he slid in.

Overall, IIRC 90 out of 115 pages was for the 1st half.

LSU's virtual fans mirrored the physical fans that night... leaving at half-time.

Hurts is a good guy and a strong competitor. Hurts gong to Oklahoma was what got him into the NFL. Both the QBs training from Lincoln and the final year of exposure and playing time as a starter rather than a bench warmer was key.

When asked which school he claimed he said “Roll Sooners” so he claims both and that is appropriate. LINK

The fact that Bama fans feel a need to claim him as Alabama only reflects insecurity about Bamas QB coaching, and status in regard to developing NFL QBs. They feel the need to claim him and they are frankly shocked that he is starting in the NFL.

I like Hurts and hope he has a great NFL career. He is always welcome at Norman as a Sooner and I hope he feels the same.

As far as “ claiming” hm, he is clearly his own man. His NFL career will define his legacy.

Damn, Alabama got dominated.

Hurts was at Oklahoma in 2019.

Not sure who Max is.

That is a lot of domination for one season. Maybe that really was the greatest team ever.

Again Hurts was at OU in 2019.

Who is Max?
