UFC probably helps that a great deal.

TONS. There's a Jiu Jitsu gym close to me and when I drive by there it seems like the majority of the people in there are under 18... some kids look like their 5 or 6.

When you get out of high school and get a real job, you will understand why you get downvoted.

Good. And it’s great for kids. BJJ/Judo as well.

My son wrestled in high school several years ago. It is definitely growing in popularity. Great sport and tough.

As a 120 lb High School kid, one of the best things I ever did was go out for the wraslin' team...

My son wrestles and I have grown to love the sport. It is a tough sport and teaches a lot of discipline and hard work. I love seeing the participation rate going up.

All the HS wrestling kids I knew were tough MFers, even alot of the football players were intimidated.

They are in much better shape and pound for pound are stronger. I played football and my son wrestled. I would not mess with a wrestler.

People are realizing that it’s much more safe than football

Good. Maybe this next generation won't be a bunch of puffies.

Yeah, it’s crazy how many martial arts places I see everywhere now and how many people are going.

The best OL and DL recruits were usually HS wrestlers back in the day. Title IX killed wrestling in the South circa 1979. My HS had to cut the program for one.
