Mine still works. You had 10 zero stars transfer out.

Damn. I just noticed Texas A&M has lost five 4* athletes while bringing in only one. And they’ve lost nineteen 3* athletes while brining in only one. Things are not good in Aggieland.

A lot of those guys didn’t start but it’ll affect depth. When the transfer portal and high school signing period is done you’ll have a better look.
LSU was under the full roster by 13 I believe this past season. We had a lot of transfers but we had a great recruiting class and plan to oversign between the two to fill our roster. This should also help with our special teams problems this past season because less guys will have to split time between special teams and their actual position

Our cupboard was so bare from a talent standpoint, I’m thrilled to see what Freeze is doing in the portal. Add in the fact he came in and in only two weeks took an Auburn recruiting class ranked in the 50s and finished with a top 20 class and it looks like Freeze is going to turn things around on the Plains sooner rather than later.
All this...not a conspiracy theorist, but if someone tried to convince me Harsin was in it just for the generational buyout, it wouldn't take much.
Dude has put in work.

So far we haven't lost any starters. We did lose some really talented true freshman but every single one of them had off the field issues and all had been suspended or kicked out of school.
We need 11 more guys to get to 85 and so far Jimbo has only brought in 2 from the portal. So we will likely be playing with fewer than 85 scholarship guys next year.
We are scary thin at a several positions so closing strong in the portal is critical.

I’m right there with you. Harsin didn’t even bother to go around the state to meet high school coaches. I’ve heard most of the coaches, even at the biggest in-state high schools, never even met the man. To have a recruiting class ranked in the 50s at a school like Auburn takes a willful effort to suck at recruiting.

Well that website’s rankings only go up to 70. And that’s where A&M is sitting right now.

I don’t know. Looking on their website, they list the number of both incoming and outgoing based on their star rating.
Part of it is the avg player rating of incoming vs outgoing and Arkansas' has one of the, if not the, biggest margin there. Incoming avg = 82.88 while outgoing avg = 58.72. I'm sure that's a big factor.
We're at #5 now BTW.

Addition by subtraction. The new normal….

The rejection still hurts the Auburn fans it seems. Rebs meeting limited needs with big time transfers. Luckily we don’t need a whole new team.

You sure about that?

Yes. We have a great nucleus coming back. Sorry you need a whole new team, bro.
Posted on 1/10/23 at 9:43 pm to VivaZapata27
The same nucleus that lost their last 5 or 6 games? That nucleus?

Some us have higher expectations for our teams. We needed a purge.

Yes. Winning 8 games with young players in a rebuild year isn’t a bad thing. Keep grinding. You’ll get up off the mat sooner or later.

We got 3 promising players yesterday

I’m just glad Freeze is coming in and hitting the ground running addressing the needs at Auburn. He’s been taking in linemen especially. And the ones he is getting are among the best in the portal.
People give y'all shite for the hire but winning changes everything.
And Freeze will get the talent.
And Freeze will win with it.
