Howland is probably the most accomplished hire either school has made in the big sports in at least 50 years.

Shut the frick up brah

If the most elite catfish company in California offered you three times your current salary you'd jump in a heartbeat.

LA is an awesome town. Of course there are liberals.

Not really.

Good hire. I am glad we made the tournament this season but I could really care less about our basketball program.

This has a very Billy Clyde Gillispie feel to me. If you look at what happened at UCLA in those last few years......wow, I just don't know.

I meant that I could care less, in that I do care to some extent. So, in fact, you could do better, broseph

Well Ole Miss has had some nail biters with Bama in football but you don't see us calling it a rivalry.

No one called it a rivalry. There were just great games to watch and were full of emotion. Like MSU football and Auburn football the past 5 or so years. Not a rivalry, but great games that were intense.

Plans to beat Ole Miss? Wow way to shoot for the stars, Howland
He could've slandered and bullshitted about Ole Miss for the entire presser and that fanbase would have came away extremely impressed. That's all you have to do to appease the great citizens, students and fans relative to "The People's University"..

The game has passed Howland by. Nothing but continued struggles in the future for our friends in Starkville

Yep, look at his last years at UCLA. Talk about underachieving and problems behind the scenes. This could turn out to be a disaster. There is a reason no one hired him the past couple of years.

If he doesn't win at State, it would be the first time in his 32 yr career not to have success.

I'm not worried, but I appreciate the concern.

He went 25-10, won the conference, & made the tournament his last year @ UCLA. I hope we have some awful years like that @ MSU. The good years when he actually achieves should be outstanding

Dude just wants to fatten his retirement and by the time the natives get restless, he'll split.

I would hope that's his plan too if my coach was Johnny Jones.
