You do realize that before 1991 you had zero conference championships, right?
Auburn all time record 733-416-47 .633
Florida all time record 684-388-40 .633
all time head-to-head Auburn leads 43-38-2
No championships doesn't necessarily equal being a doormat. Pre-Spurrier we were plagued by close calls and probation. As you point out, the records over time are pretty similar. Between 1927 and 2002 when the UF-AU game was an annual rivalry, UF lead the series 38-34-2.
FWIW, I would probably rank AU above UF as well, I just took issue with the doormat comment

Even though I'm a LSU fan, it isn't even debatable that historically, Tennessee is 2nd to Bama.

I agree but UT has been pretty much a .500 club since 2005. If this continues...

so you think UF football just started when Spurrier got there?
Considering they didn't win the sec one freaking tim until Spurrier became the HC, I'd say yes.

I think a more interesting discussion would be focusing on the modern era.
I would suggest that symbolically that would be the "post Bryant" era starting in the 1983 season, which is very close to the 1984 NCAA v. Board of Regents of the University of Oklahoma decision that removed NCAA restrictions on televised college football game with the subsequent start of ESPN college broadcasts in the same season.
Post 1984 the order to me is:
Alabama
Florida
Auburn
LSU
Tennessee
Georgia
Arkansas
Ole Miss
South Carolina
Miss. St
Kentucky
Vanderbilt
Texas A&M & Missouri don't have the body of work to consider.
You could argue several ways about the top 3 (UA, UF, & Auburn). Auburn was probably the most consistent over the last 30 years, but Bama and Florida have a lot more hardware and more dominant runs along the way.
The next 3 are also kind of hard to separate with UGA being most consistent but UT & LSU having won championships and some very dominant stretches

Incorrect.

national titles (AP/Coaches) - 4 points each
SEC titles - 3 points each
bowl wins - 2 points each
division titles - 1 point each
Alabama: 40 + 69 + 68 + 9 = 186
Tennessee: 8 + 39 + 50 + 6 = 103
Georgia: 4 + 36 + 54 + 7 = 101
LSU: 12 + 33 + 46 + 8 = 99
Florida: 12 + 24 + 40 + 12 = 88
Auburn: 8 + 39 + 44 + 8 = 99
There was football in the south before 1933. Just because UF didn't win anything back then doesn't mean you get to skip it.

If you had to pick one year, that would be a good one. I concur.

Bama
UT
LSU
UGA
Auburn
UF
A&M
Ole Miss
Arkansas
Mizzou
USC
UK
MSU
Vandy
You could just as easily flip LSU and UGA.

If you put Vanderbilt #14, your list is invalid. Do some research people.

Football before 1943 was complete bullsh**. There were like 3,4,or 5 national champions every year. To go back further is to acknowledge that Princeton is the greatest football program of all time with their 28 National Championships.

Bama's number 2 in actual on field winning percentage.
If Auburn pays players in 91-92 but gets zero games taken away why does Bama get games taken away in 93 ? Oklahoma has zero games stripped but ha been on probation 7 times. Frankly anyone who doesn't understand that on field results are the facts of life are idiots.

Isn't that the last time the NCAA forfeited games instead of vacating?

GA is probably #1 all time.

So essentially A&M is just a middle-of-the-pack program?
