What more is expected out of Mullen in year 2 at Mississippi State? Im curious to what you Auburn and Bama fans think he should have done.
At least beat one ranked team, I mean he had a shot at four of them (two of them at home, too).

He beat Florida when they were ranked.
Like I said there is not a SINGLE Ole Miss fan who will give Dan Mullen any credit.

A
considering it was state, how much better could the guy have done? He's getting his system players now.
i'm glad to see the results (as long as you don't beat us on thurday)

Alabama beat Penn State when they were ranked, but you don't see any of us acting like they were hot shite.
As a matter of fact, Penn State almost beat Florida in the damn Outback Bowl

Alabama was the defending NATIONAL CHAMPIONS, Mississippi State was coming off a 5-7 season.

And Mississippi State ALMOST BEAT, Auburn and ARkansas. What did we get for that?
Try being objective for once in your life.

It's so sad when beating Florida is no longer a big deal.

He's done well on the field, but his lack of recruiting success has to be a concern. Nutt continues to beat him in-state, and whiler Nutt has many shortcomings he can put together solid teams from time to time. You can't expect Ole Miss to be 4-8 forever.

You and your fanbase received two moral victories, congratulations.

Alabama got a moral victory for their first half against Auburn

Ole Miss got a moral victory with their recruiting class

There are no moral victories in losing to Auburn.
Alabama got a REAL victory when they beat State by 20 points.
Ole Miss has a REAL victory simply because Oxford women > Starkville women.

I have to say he deserves a Solid A right now. Remember this is not like saban coming into Bama after the dismal seasons with Shula. For what Mullen had to work with when he came in I'd say he is doing extremely well. I feel that the recruits will come with more winning seasons. The recruits leaving was more a product of State loosing two good coaches in Hudspeth and Diaz.
All you have to do is ask yourself do you now feel nervous when you have to play State? That alone should give him an A.

I would give Mullen a B. He had a real well coached team last year. Who won all the games they were supposed to, which is hard to do.
He fields a well prepared team. But I would be seriously worried about his recruiting. And because of his last couple of classes, I think he will bolt at 1st chance next year - especially since ya'll should have a good season. Because if he hangs around it will be hard to keep winning with the talent he pulls in.
He needs to hire an ace recruiter on his staff who can jive with the Mississippi parents. I just don't thin k his personality fits MS recruiting.

Sources please? Im pretty sure you have no clue what you are talking about. Im pretty sure most of the recent miss mississippi's have been from State.

I'd give him a B. Took MSU to a bowl game, 9 wins this year and beat a historic program in that bowl game.
He has beat Ole Miss two years in a row which I can imagine is a big deal to MSU.
As mentioned he needs to do better in recruiting. Give him some time and he may just build that program into something surprising.

Please tell me you're joking. It's common knowledge that the female students at Ole Miss are some of the best looking in the damn country and I've never heard anyone disagree with that. I've never heard anyone bash our women (on the basis of looks alone

MOO State women are so ugly they can make a damn blind kid cry.
By the way, we have had three Miss Americas come from Ole Miss. Step up to the big leagues biatches

Mullen deserves an A-.
You can't take rivals ratings right now and decide how good of a recruiter he is. That'll play it's self out. So far, he's done a fantastic job in the most boring little town in east Mississippi.

I think this is the first thing me and you have ever agreed on Grey Reb.

I got roasted on Bulldawg Junction for saying the same exact thing. I said we should hire a young African-American coach who can relate with our in state recruits better.
