If it is true that LA associated congressmen did indeed intervene and threaten the congressional act, then that's incredibly ironic for Sankey, et al, if their goal was to get congress to pass the bill. Sankey's tool was used against him to benefit specifically LSU.
Not to mention how saucy this all is - the SEC got lockered by LSUs big dogs.
