Have you ever watched baseball before? Every pitcher who induces a fly ball does that. I truly hate baseball ignorant posters.
I'm down to shite on Texas, but yeah trying to throw shade for pointing at the sky after a popup is just dumb.

And this isn’t the first time one of those “this inning is over because I got a pop so I will point into the sky and celebrate” balls resulted in a dropped ball or a hit. And every time it happens it is hilarious.

The difference is this one was for a trip to Omaha, not a random Tuesday game.

Maybe, and this is just an idea, make sure you don’t lose the game before celebrating.

It's not celebrating. It's indicating a popup to the fielders behind you for the very reason you just saw. Sometimes they can't see it.

frick you for causing me to defend Texas.

Its almost impressive how you keep doubling down on the stupidity. Amazing how the outfielders couldn't find the ball because the pitcher pointed up to the sky to indicate a fly ball, which again happens literally every time a fly ball is hit in the air in every baseball game. Guess what dipshit, the pitcher there did his job.

It worked out well too. Him walking off the mound staring into the stands with his hand in the air ensured his fielders saw the ball and caught it.

I can't rub this one in too much. I know the feeling all too well. Baseball can be such a cruel bitch sometimes.

I guess we see it different.

Normally when a pitcher throws his hand up to indicate a pop up he turns around and actually watches his defense. This dipshit turned to the stands and started strutting of the field while the ball was in the air. I urge you to actually watch the video. It was glorious. It was not a “hey guys, it’s a pop up.” It was a “look at me” celebration. It was wonderful to behold.

So yes; I will double down on that.

The best part is he was an egotistical prick in game one too. Which Texas also lost in absolute heartbreaking fashion. It is almost like the baseball gods don’t like him. But you guys are free to defend him all you want.

We won Game 1.

You can tell the Alabama fans have never watched baseball.

Yep, I got the games mixed up between Stanford-Texas. Ya’ll came back in the 9th of game one. Not tonight sadly. But that dude that lost tonight got rocked in game one too. And correct me if I am wrong, ya’ll did not win two of three. But there have been a lot of games to keep track of this weekend so I may be wrong.

I apologize. You're actually tripling down on the stupidity; STANFORD lost game one in heartbreaking fashion. I am now highly awaiting what incredibly stupid take you have next. I know you won't disappoint.

I've seen him be a douche several times pitching this year. Huge douche. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving player. You love to see it, but more importantly, you love to see it happen to the right people lol

See my post above. Then watch the video of that play. It was incredible. Way to go to bat for Texas though.

I surprisingly feel kinda sorry for you right now. You actually think that you are right. Perhaps you should stick to a different sport.

As for tonight.. we were lucky to even be playing in a SR, let alone tied in the 9th for Game 3. On top of that, Stanford was clearly the better team for all 3 games. It honestly wasn’t even all that close. We had 3 good innings out of 27 total, and it was more about them screwing up. They tied or won every other inning.

They have some serious sticks up and down that lineup. Whoever they face in Game 2 is not gonna be happy facing Mathews and that lineup.

PS: Seriously.. you should go to bed. Maybe people will forget your ignorance.

Agree - laughing at Texas for this is funny. But the pitcher (regardless of how douchey he’d probably been) was doing his job to call the ball in the air behind him and clear the field of play that he was in. If that’s what he was doing. Most of the Texas guys noticed pretty quick that this had gone awry. At least it wasn’t to win it all.
