LSU has been very good for a long time. The whole Alabama thing not withstanding LSU has been inches away from being elite for many years. They may take a step back but they are in a position to take advantage of a generational talent at QB...a lot of schools aren't. LSU will be fine. I'd bet 11-1 or 10-2 AT worst next year.....and who knows with some breaks 12-0 and in the playoffs again...LSU is that kind of program. They should be in the position they are in this year every 4-5 years at least.

Next year will be a step back more than likely, especially at QB. You don’t replace a guy like Joe Burrow, it just doesn’t happen. I think Brennan will be a good QB for LSU, we will just have to wait and see.
Once we know exactly who is coming back we can answer better, but I expect a pretty good team just different than this years team.

Seeing 10-2 with losses to Florida/bama most likely. Hard to tell without knowing what everyone loses and how the QB looks. They will be ultra explosive again with the skill guys coming back. Auburn will be decimated on the lines....I don’t see LSU losing that one.

No doubt it will be a step back. But the team coming back in 2 years will be strong.

LSU1* will always be a good team that will have an elite year every 3-4 years when the pieces all fall together. They recruit at a high level so they will most always be top 3 in the SEC talent wise.
Next year they will be a very good team again, not 2019 good but will have talent to win SEC. I think they lose 2-3 games max and end up 2nd behind Bama and in the SECW. If 11-1 2nd place SECW they will be in the CFPO.
