they have to get better at QB and on defense...Cam masked alot of deficiencies last season- but they still have alot of those problems.
They have some talent- but havent played defense since Cheez for there...thats where they need to start to be able to join Bammer and LSU seriously

I honestly do think Auburn will be better than Bama. Maybe Arky as well? Doesn't really matter about the West, it is LSU's next season unless Mett is full of suck.
As for Auburn, all of those true freshman you see out there playing and not matching up physically, will have spent a year in strength and conditioning, spring and another fall. One of those true freshman that hasn't seen a Spring and barely knows the playbook is Frazier. He is much better than what you have seen and he will have the chance to show it as the starter. Auburn loses 4 starters total and only one has been a regular starter before this year...and I don't think too many Auburn fans will miss Neiko. New invigorated defense, new coordinator. We will see on Gus. Auburn will have 7 or 8 wins this year with a rediculous schedule. There is no doubt that Auburn will be better and they will also be playing an easier schedule. 10 wins bitches.
Bama loses so much, they won't look like the same team at all. They will have all kinds of talent but young talent, as evidenced by Auburn this year, doesn't compete well in a strong SEC West.

Bama will need to reload next season, but will still be a 10-win team.
Aubie may not see 10 wins for another 2-3 seasons.

I can promise you we will not lose five games by an average of 27 points. I just don't see how all those arse lickings will all of a sudden turn into wins. I don't think you can chalk up the level of defeats au had this year to youth and inexperience. Youth will miss assignments and blow a coverage, but au just got whipped physically. I don't think the talent is there with these supposed super recruits

Auburn will be a lot better next year if they can find a DC that can call the right plays and not put the players in bad positions and force them to have to come back across the field to make the plays. That will take the pressure off the Offense and the QB to have to try and bail them out all the time. If Roof had called bama's defense this year, they would have lost 3 or 4 games.
Bama will not be set back as much as Auburn was this year but they are losing a lot of their stars on defense and TR, and WV and BJ on their O-line.

I don't think Bama is going to field some equivalent Auburn '11 team next year, but there is no doubt they will be taking a big step back in reloading. It is not an insult, its a fact.
The guys that you see losing their one on one matchups are largely either players that no one really ever expected any better, or really young guys, most of which haven't even been thru 1 off season strength and conditioning program or Spring training. also, Roof is gone. Anything else will be an upgrade.
You ask how those butt whippings are going to turn into wins? How does Alabama lose to UL Monroe and then win the national championship 2 years later? Realistically, Auburn is not going to be good enough next year to beat 2011 Alabama, luckily, they will be playing 2012 Alabama, a better Auburn team against a Bama team not nearly as good. Same for Arky. Pretty sure LSU will wipe the floor with us again though.

FBSchedules & NationalChamps.net each shows Auburn playing Clemson @ Atlanta, McNeese State, Alabama A&M and Louisiana-Monroe for the OOC part of their 2012 schedule. No worse than 3-1 and very possibly 4-0.
SEC West games...
Alabama (Loss)
Arkansas (Toss up)
LSU (Loss)
Ole Miss (Win)
Mississippi State (Win)
Texas A&M (Win)
Plus two teams from the East if we play an 8-game SEC schedule. Considering one of them is Georgia (Loss) and anyone but Florida (win).
Yeah... 8-4... 9-3 with a few breaks.

Where have I heard this before? Oh, yeah. All offseason long, prior to 2010.

Don't count on every team to suck next year like they did this year. Also if you stop and look at who is making the big for bama, most of them will be gone.

Defense and QB play can't be any worse next year plus the schedule is better. I think 9 wins is very realistic.

More along the lines of 10-2ish.
