for some crow eating to begin around here?

I only ask because I don't want people suddenly acting like they expected it when we win 8 games this year.

Be competative in every game, show a consistent team and show a team that can be built upon. I'd aim for a break even year.

I haven't predicted number of wins so I'll be eating no crow for that.

However, I will have crow to eat if we don't beat you by elebinty billion.

By the way, I think you'll get lucky and win 3 games.

Hell, I said you'd go 6-6. I'm not gonna eat crow if he wins two more games than I expected.

He wins 9 or 10, I'll consider getting the napkin and fork. Are you Vols gonna eat some if he does worse than '08 Phil???

They'll use the "new coach" excuse.

I'd say just beat any of the teams he's called out.

We will KICK South Carolina's arse..you can bet on that..

Fulmer had gotten LAZY with his discipline and his recruiting..Read the book "Big Orange Crushed" Season on a Brink..That was the year UT beat LSU on the Monday night game after Katrina...Rick Clausen was a CANCER and divided the team..and almost left and went home to California that Sunday night..Fulmer begged him to stay...He divided the locker room and Cut had to come back to be the "HATCHETT MAN" and restore discipline...

This year they were NO ARRESTS..the first time in 8 years that had happened. The team's GPA was higher than it had been in 6 years..Kiffin has surrounded himself with good coaches..Jim Chaney was OC at Purdue when they had Dree Brees and Kyle Orton, "BeBe'is a good position coach and a great recruiter, Monte is a given, Eddie Gran is a great coach and recruiter, Willie Mack Garza is a good db coach with lots of ties to Texas and Oklahoma..We all know Frank Wilson can recruit..

Kiffin has surrounded himself with good coaches than can recruit..He might go 6-6 or 7-4 this year..But HE WILL GET THE PLAYERS..Too many good recruiters for it not to happen..and as Saban said.."It's not about the X's and O's but about the Jimmy's and the Joe"s..He will win at UT. Get ready.

With as much as Kiffin has been talking, he better be able to back it up on the field. If UTenn could be competitive in every game, except UF of course, then Id say it was a successful year, no matter what the record. I would just skip watching the UF game if I were a Vol fan, just to have an excuse as to why your team lost by 40.

Anything better than 4-4 in conference play and crow should be served.

It's nice that Kiffin surrounded him with talent and coaches but if the Head Coach who makes the final decision is a retard.. well then quite frankly it doesn't matter. After all he enjoys having injuries in practice.

I don't buy that whole argument saying UT will eventually do well because Kiffin can recruit. He still has to coach them up, and no one knows if he can do that yet.

Zook was a great recruiter; that obviously wasn't enough.

You are right but as people say who have been going to UT practices since 1963...Things are night and day between the old staff. The depth chart was released and their are 18 sophmores and true freshmen in the depth chart. Fulmer would have NEVER played true freshmen..NEVER.. Plus he has Jim Chaney running the offense..and he was the OC at Purdue when the had Dree Brees and Kyle Orton..Remember the numbers THEY PUT UP AT PURDUE and even before he was OC at Wyoming under Joe Tiller?..The staff LOOKS good on paper..Just have to wait and see how they do on the field.
