We're serious about this, because we all want to be a part of the program. If our coach says that a full stadium for the Spring game helps him with recruiting, and it makes our players feel good about the fan support, then you'd better bet that a lot of us will try to be there. We go because we enjoy it, and I certainly don't feel forced to go, it's a fun day. There is so much for the kids to do, and we like the tailgaiting and the whole day. What I don't understand is why wouldn't you go. I don't know if I'd change my lifestyle, but I live in Tuscaloosa, so why wouldn't I go?

You are spot on!

Bottom line - I support the things I love and care about. Just so happens, I love UA athletics and I support them as well as many other things..

They were 28 or 27 short of having 92,000.

It's some of the worst sleep I've ever had in those little tents with 15+ boys age 11-12 yrs old. But IMO, scouts is important and keeps his little arse out of trouble (at least for now.)

I am trying hard to refrain on the jokes, but you are making it hard. Ooops, there's another one.

They are all jokes about "boy scout's", you "pitching tents" and "smoking weenies", and "worst sleep you had with 15+, 11 and 12 year old boys."

It just feels wrong and yet you keep setting them up.

How can you ever get an accurate head count for a "game" where there are no ticket sales? It was a rounded number based on the number of sections filled. I'm sure the error was on the order of +/- 5,000.

Law requires them to keep a count for the fire marshall. So I'm pretty sure they have some way to keep count. Everybody has to come in an entrance through lines just like a game. Someone I'm sure is at each gate counting just like they would be taking tickets.

Statues are deified. God came that way.

At the risk of appearing dumb, I have to admit that I don't understand this comment.

Simply that we can't deify God.

I realize that, but a purely accurate count is not going to happen. It's always going to be an estimate for situations like this.

It has to be pretty damn close though. You are right though that it isnt going to be exact without something hard like a ticket to go by.

Even Gamedays can be difficult. That's why they go by ticket sales, and not the actual number of people that passed through gates.

So, Saban is God, thus it is impossible to deify him because deity is his nature? If I understand correctly, I assume it was a joke. Before the other comments in this thread, I would have known it was a joke, but now I have a few doubts.

They were actually talking about this on sports radio in Jacksonville yesterday. I have no idea but the radio guy said he had a picture of a guy catching a pass and the end zones were basically empty.

I don't know what point in the day it was though.

It's another bama hoax! Both endzones and all the ramps were digitalized.
