Sports media like "The Athletic" and all the "24/7" websites are gonna struggle. How many will go under. But of course many businesses won't be around when this is over.

A lot of those have yearly subscriptions that people have already paid for so probably not them.

I would say most likely newspapers.

Online Media should in theory be at an advantage since everything is going virtual right now.

Not exactly sure what their business model is in regards to the individual team sites, but the company as a whole is safe, I'd imagine - owned by CBS.

Maybe a small web rag or two. I don't think any major publication goes under as a result of this virus. They could and should go under because they suck.

You do realize that the NFL draft is still happening, right? And we just had one of the most exciting free agency periods in recent history. There's still sports news because of that.

I paid a one month subscription to the Athletic for $10 to read an article about Zack Greinke's teammates talking about him as a person. Would've paid $25 honestly.

Yeah, I did a year subscription. Found an online discount cost me like $35 for the year. Its not about breaking news, its about just having good writing and perspective. Instead of a newspaper youve got this to read at breakfast. Good writing.

The athletic has some good fantasy football stuff. That isn't going away.

I pay for ITAT and get some really good information from their premium boards. Don't really care for the Auburn Undercover side since they merged. ITAT has long term journalism mods and doesn't post rumor stuff, so it's better to me. Just have to know which posters have good info and there are some on ITAT.

I think the XFL is gone for sure.
