Damn it. Now I don't know whether to like him for his Laker days or hate him for his Bama days

I think that is crazy that LSU doesn't have an MVP in MLB. They owned cbb in the 90s
one reason is that there haven't been that many MVP players period that even went to college

I knew Spreewell went there.
He never played for the Lakers so there no conflict of feelings there

We had a good run of NBA players in the Wimp days
Enis Whatley, Buck Johnson, Derrick McKey, Keith Askins, David Benoit, Robert Horry, Latrell Sprewell, James Robinson, Jason Caffey, Antonio McDyess
All those guys played in at least 300 NBA games. 3 of them scored 10,000+ points (Sprewell, McDyess, McKey).

Albert Belle
is he related to Joey Belle?

Albert Belle probably should have won an MVP in the mid-90s but he was hated by the voters.

As an avid Cleveland Indians' fan, I know for a fact, as do millions of baseball fans, that Belle got screwed in '95. Up to that point he was only the second major leaguer to hit 50 homers and 50 doubles in the same season, had a .326 BA and was in the top 5 in walks and slugging percentage. Mo Vaughn did not deserve the award that year. But in the pros, it's all about big markets unfortunately and Boston, outside of NYC, is THE biggest baseball market in America.

Good call on Texas. North Carolina has two sports MVPs. The obvious one is MJ and in the NFL Lawrence Taylor
