By looking at his coaching history, it looks as if he's close to moving on to another school or team
Hes getting older and I feel he has found the school where he could leave behind a dynasty and be remembered. hes 60 years old.

Didn't he just turn 60? His contract is to 2017. He will try and beat the Bear's record. He's staying and will retire at Alabama.

Your 'Bama obsession continues to grow.

I'm an LSU fan and just for full disclosure I would love to see Saban ride off into the sunset just because I'm sick of competing against him (even though we're 3-3 against him). I won't dance around that fact.......
I think the only way he would leave is to retire or try and go pro somewhere. Somebody once told me the time commitment between an NFL coach and a D1 college coach is significantly different, in terms of hours a week.
Not to mention you don't have to travel nearly as much for recruiting. Might be a little more ideal for someone embracing the golden years of their life.
Just a thought.

Actually the commitment in the NFL is far more demanding than college, even with recruiting being considered.

Texas has the money but they don't have the Tradition. Saban has a chance to rival CFB's best Head Coach ever (arguably). AND 'Bama is in the SEC, which is perceived as the hardest league in the Nation. If he goes to a weaker conference, his titles won't mean as much.
Texas = another rebuilding accomplishment. Been there done that.
ETA: He stays till he retires. If not, oh well. No big deal. But I would say 85% sure he stays till he retires.

Anyone thinking Saban is going anywhere just go back and watch the end of the game and the interviews after and tell yourself that he is going anywhere... Well maybe a date with Miss Terry to the North River Yacht Club.

Exactly. He will retire at Bama.

A logical look at it will not be something most antagonistic, opposing fans will do. They will continue to deal in this hypothetical, and flood the "Coaching Changes" board every year with this same drivel. We've heard the Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Dallas Cowboys, and now Texas "rumors" for five years. It won't stop. However, it looks more and more desperate every off-season.

If it wasn't the same played out shite all of the time, it would be different, but it is the same played out shite.

I believe he will be the Head Football Coach at the University of Alabama for at least more years. In fact, I think he will stay the HBC at Bama until he decides to retire; thus he will be -with us for another 7-11 years. He has everything he could want in a football program at Bama and the admin is as dedicated to his success as he is dedicated to the success of himself and his teams. This is his program now; he basically has unlimited resources and control over how the program is to be managed.
His coaching history has more to do with progression in his career. He's climbed the ladder to the top and there's no need for him go anywhere else.

When he jumped up and down and danced aroun during the Gatorade bath, my jaw dropped.
He was ecstatic. I don't pretend to know how many more years he will be coaching, but I do think he retires at Alabama.

Like I've felt for a long time. He'll be done when his current contract ends in 2017. That's six more seasons.

I've heardly ever commented on Nick Saban leaving Alabama for another program. All I'm saying is that I don't expect him to stay another five years. In fact, it looks as if pretty much (I stress pretty much) only Alabama fans think he'll be there forever. If you think he'll be there another 5 plus years, congrats. It's your opinion. My opinion is that he won't. TBH, not many one here have an opinion that means more than shite.
