Shouldn't he be celebrating Festivus or something?

Any Bama or AU fan does

He gives off a national perception of both fanbases that is incorrect

He has all the crazies of both fanbases

Not to mention his show is shite and just drama between callers 75% of the time

If you can just skip his callers, his interviews are usually awesome.

I still listened to him back in the day. I don't listen to him much anymore because he really doesn't talk actual sports (so, to say it is a "sport's radio" show is stretching it), and most everything he does and his callers are all put on/a play. It is about drama, and I hate male drama.

I was gonna mention how he would never talk to anyone when I worked at the same newspaper, when all the other sports guys/beat writers/reporters would shoot the shite with you about everything they knew. But, that wouldn't really be fair to his show - which is different - or him.

As far as it being "amazing," you must be lacking for entertainment where you are.

I think it's become the cool thing on the rant over the past couple of years to hate on Paul.

If you're honest, you recognize that his show is amazing and he has moved up in his industry the right way (through hard work and dedication).

Do you really have a good reason to hate on the best sports radio host in modern history?

I love listening to his show. I LOL alot and enjoy the endless numbers of pissed off callers that have their jimmies rustled.

I cannot stand what he represents; his intentional conflict stirring over a football game. He has made a career angering the LCD. Kudos to him, he's rich and all, but I don't like his type. Looking at him also causes me anxiety.

But of course this is all a personal preference, and I support his right to have the show and all. I just won't be tuning in to it.

ETA: I also do no "hate" him, just dislike.

I don't like him because of some of the shots he's taken at Les Miles in the past have been unprofessional.

If he wanted to criticize him then that is one thing, but Paul likes to try and kick a guy in the nuts.

I hate him because he makes millions giving the rest of the country more and more ammo to talk down to the south. He attracts the lowest IQ'd callers in the world who do nothing but embarrass the rest of us. It's degrading. He is a Tennessee plant who is hell bent on making the state of Alabama look like the armpit of the country when we all know that AT LEAST Mississippi, Arkansas, and west Virginia are ahead of us in that category.

Finebaum is a scum bag and a discredit to the human race.

Not only that, but the crap he wrote and spewed about the Gamecocks during our first ten years in the league will never be forgiven.

The "Jerry Springer of the SEC" is a good thing? Good Lord,no wonder people think we are all inbreds down here. A great image to be putting out there, nation wide.

You totally don't get his schtick man.

In his start back in the early 90s he did a story ( Birmingham News ) about Bama that got them way more penalties than they deserved for a 200 dollar napkin signing.

Well with P.F.s open forum you can imagine the irate calls PF got for stiring this shyt up , but then when the NCAA goes way overboard , PF gets on Bama's side , even appearing in court once as a witness with a pro Bama mocking of the judge, so Bama fans listen in he beginning to call him names , then he becomes their champion.

He gets into other markets , LSU , South Carolina and he makes the fans irate enough to call in to vent against him in an open forum , then when they do well he heaps praise on them( see Johnny Manziel and TAMUs chancellor ) he did the same thing this summer to JFF , then went to TAMU and has praised them for 3 days since.

It is a brilliant strategy , and it works, and he is a good interviewer.

It is kind of like when a young boy gets chastized by his dad , he does better and better until dad praises him and he feels a million miles tall.

I'm old enough to remember when the guy had a column with the Birmingham News and I hated him then. Don't really care for him now nor do I hate him anymore.

You obviously didnt listen before Saban got to Bama.

He was still a Bama homer. He would bash Shula, talk about how much better Bama was than that, and they deserved better.

I think Paul has one of the best shows in the country except when he takes calls.

"Hate" is a strong word, but I have no respect for someone who makes disingenuous statements to attract viewers (or listeners), and selects callers on the basis of how outrageous they are. It's a circus.

I didn't care for him when he was ripping on Bama to get us to pay attention to him, and I'm not going to change my opinion just because he's now dickriding Saban for the same reason.
Exactly how I feel about him.
