He wasn't nearly as good at LSU as he is at Bama. He won a Natty there but also had a lot of 9-4 type years...he also didn't recruit like he does now.

Do note that Saban at Alabama has now been ranked 89 times at #1 in the AP poll.
At LSU, Saban was ranked #1 in the AP poll a grand total of 0 times.

Hard to say. I think he is a better coach now. Not doing so well at Miami made him work even harder. And he was already a good coach when he left LSU. I think you guys are lucky that Miami didn't take a chance on Drew Brees or Saban might still be coaching in the NFL. And the Saints would still suck.

All the ones Bama won, plus those Tide choked away, plus a few more..because LSU.

Yeah. I'm having a hard time seeing less than 5 titles.

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

This is revisionist history. Saban started recruiting at a hyper-elite level his last couple of years at LSU. The NFL draft and Les Miles's early success shows this to be true.
He did not have the credibility or honing of the financial resources at LSU when he first started. Once he won an SEC title in his second year, and a national title in his fourth, he now had the commitment and credibility needed to compete at the highest possible level. He just so happened to leave right before realizing that.
Let me ask you this, Les Miles had a total of 6 losses in his first three years with one national title, so do you think Saban would do the same or worse? Probably better and then there would have been opportunity to build off of that.
At Alabama, he walked in to a program that knew how to win and had immediate access to the necessary resources. He was also one of in not the most credible coaches in the country. It still took him three years to win the SEC and a national title. However, he obviously stayed.

Since he never had back to back 10 win seasons at LSU, I'm guessing none ??.
UA is a much better job.

Some bama homer has to ask this question every year!!!
But odds are... he'd have Championships if he'd stayed at LSU, then he would have had if he had stayed with the Dolphins.

He had already recruited the talent to win 2005, 2006, and 2007. After that -- who knows?

I agree, Bama is a better job than LSU, but had he stayed at LSU, I could see 4 titles

1.5 more than they have now.

Those stacked '05 & '06 teams he most certainly would've won 1.
Les won in 2007 so I assume Saban could've also.
Les went to another in 2011. I would assume Saban at least matches Les' success.
3 at the very least is not far fetched at all.

Probably 2006 and/or 2007
Likely at least 1 with Perrilloux, no chance he kicked him off
2011 for sure
Probably 2012
At least 1 between 2013-now
So likely 4-5

0 because according to the LSU fanbase, it's the REC and refs that have been keeping them from winning them anyway.

Maybe 1 or 2 more, but definitely not 5. Hard to overcome the loser mentality so prevalent in Louisiana. Saban hates whiners and that victimhood complex they inherited from their French heritage.
