Whether Kiffin was contacted is anybody’s guess. I know from Twitter accounts that the fan base was campaigning for him as hard as they were for Gruden.
Josh’s prowess as a SEC HC remains to be seen. I don’t doubt his offensive XO expertise at UCF, but his recruiting there never broke the top 50. I realize that might eventually be a different story at UT with the fan base and facilities, but he’s really going to have to step up his recruiting abilities to be able to complete in the SEC on a regular basis.
I don’t believe Franklin was leaving Penn St. for Tennessee as it would be a lateral move at best, especially with NCAA sanctions looming. If Franklin leaves it will be for the NFL. BTW, why are people like Franklin, who had a white mother, called black? Same with Obama. Puzzling.
