Was reading the Louisville thread on the More Sports Board and it referenced Louisville heading towards the schools first consecutive seasons streak of 20+ losses. They also had a 20 loss season in 1997-98.

Kind of crazy the Louisville coach doesn’t think he will be fired.

For Arkansas they have one season of 20+ losses (Van Enman 1970-71). They do have a couple 19 loss seasons (Stan Heath 2002-03, Dudley Waller 1969-70).

Alabama's last and only 20+ loss season was 1969 (4-20). Only 19 loss season was 2014. 18 loss seasons in 1970 and 1961.

Quick look shows Kentucky has never had one. They have a 19 loss season in 1988-89.

I'm not trying to brag here (or maybe I am a little) but legit curious, Ala has won 30 of 34 in conference.

How many other SEC teams you think have done that outside Kentucky?

Ohio State has two 20-loss seasons, with the 22 losses being the most.

Yeah I think closest we came was that year under Sutton (his last year).

The closest each modern coach came:

Rupp - 13 in 66-67
Hall - had 13 in 73-74 and 84-85
Sutton - 19 in 88-89
Pitino - 8 in 89-90
Smith - 13 in 05-06
Gillispie - 14 in 08-09
Calipari - 16 in 20-21

Kansas has never lost more than 18 games in its history. Granted, a lot of earlier seasons didn’t even have 20 games.

Kansas has finished below 500 18 times. The worst season was 3-15 in 1929.
