If 2 teams from the same conference get into the playoffs again, there will be very serious talk about expanding to 8 teams. Too much money involved for one conference to have 2 teams again.

Do you think they will pick the conference champions with an at large bid/bids, or whoever they feel is the best teams?

Good question. I guess just off the hip without really thinking about logistics you could go 8 teams. Conference champ from each P5, 2 at larges and the best non P5. Or maybe 3 at larges. Guess you could do that. Haven’t really given much thought as to the best way to do it.

I had a similar thought on the number of teams and how it would work. I want expansion but hope it never becomes anything like the basketball tournament. The playoffs should feature the best of the best.
