He’s leaving but wanting to stay for the playoff run. Rumor mill is UF and LSU are on board with allowing this.

Part of me thinks he is going to LSU or UF and had plans to try and stay at OM to coach through the playoffs.

It’s why you are seeing the tweets and the over commitment to OM.

I do think OM will try and force his hand before then to ensure they aren’t 8th fiddle in the coaching search.

With all the rumors blowing up earlier in the week, one would think that something would have popped by now.

I’ve solidified in my mind that Kiffin is staying at Ole Miss.

He’s currently on the staff at OM. If that’s true, Lane has to be locked in right?

It seems like that would be grounds for cause/firing on Chris’s standpoint.

If you pull in all the information we know, it seems pretty obvious what’s going on.

1. His family has visited Gainesville and Baton Rouge.
2. He supposedly has an offer from Ole Miss that he hasn’t signed.
3. He’s tweeting how much he loves OM.


I do think he has interest in leaving OM, however for the right deal he’s not opposed to staying. Sexton is pulling strings to get the best offer on the table for each opportunity. Family will obviously have a say.

IMO, Lane will make a decision in the coming days. I don’t think there is any done deal with anyone at this point.

If this is true, it’s a done deal. Kinda tracks with the 48 hours rumor.
