I was asking specifically about the O. Was Vandy supposed to be that bad on D?

I'm pretty sure their D was near the top third of the league last year, but everyone conveniently forgets that.

Wallace was 31-47-0 for 283 yds.

I suspect when they play a defense with a more talented front 4, the Wallace runs will be shut down. Once the defense is able to focus more resources to stop Moncrief and Treadwell then OM will die by the sword they live by. The 2 WRs will make some great catches but a lot of it will be negated by the eventual interceptions.

His passing stats are very misleading. He could have easily had 2 or 3 picks, just complete drops by Vandy. And I doubt he had more than 3 completions where the ball traveled more than 10 yards in the air past the line of scrimmage.

Weapons yes, but IMO they looked like shite. The Vandy CB's couldn't even keep up with Matthews nor Korse (sp?). Always 2 steps behind.

Hmmm. I thought this thread was about our Offense? I must still be drunk from last night.

Offense has good receivers and a good dual threat QB, but the RB's and the OL are average at best. The defense looked weak.

They can throw screens and slants.

OL is awful.

yep. I'd be concerned with the passing game against more talented rosters. You need that vertical threat against the big boys. They don't appear to have that dimension.

Completed a 40 yarder to Moncrief in the 4th and a 20 yarder to Treadwell in the 3rd and Evan Ingram had 2 balls over 20 yards. Jordan Holder and Ja'mes Logan both had catches around 10-15 yards.

from NCAA site, 1012-13 rankings:

Total Defense
19. Vanderbilt
32. Georgia

Passing Yards Allowed
19. Vanderbilt
NR Georgia

Rushing Defense
22. Vanderbilt
NR Georgia

Since the original question was about Om offense, looks like Vandy may have been a little better test than UGA.

Until I see how Arkansas' defense plays this year, I would think they would present a big problem for us. At least in the short passing game.

We should have a field day against their OL but if our secondary is still worthless then it won't matter.

are you counting YAC, because he appears to have the weakest arm in the SEC.

He works in Freezes offense, but the guy looked like he was crow hopping to lob a ball 9 yards.

No I'm not. Moncrief was talked as soon as he hit the ground as was Ingram and Logan/Holder. Treadwell is the only one that might of had a few yac
