So hypothetically, an undefeated Alabama and undefeated Georgia will be a noon kick in a couple weeks? Well that sucks.

Totally depends on what the FOX noon game is and if ABC believes they can win the slot.
At the end of the day, you have to be able to show advertisers multiple reasons beyond just viewership numbers why they should spend money with you.
I will say when you start talking about Bama and UGA, that such a massive view, it doesn’t really matter

I think LSU vs Texas a&m would have held up just fine in the noon slot against ohio state and Illinois

I think Texas would’ve drawn national primetime interest like LSU. I guess they figured Texas A&M is more interesting than Tennessee. It’s all about ratings. That’s what a lot of you don’t seem to understand.

Man, there are so many awesome matchups tomorrow all over the country, it's just hard to please everyone when that happens.

Agreed, but I see this an opportunity for ABC to really draw a comparison between the two conferences going head to head

When the LSU-A&M game was chosen, it was a better matchup that Tenn-Texass.

I think they want to maximize the draw. Texas is as big as it gets so putting them at noon will still get numbers. Aggie and LSU would not draw the same attention at noon but will definitely get viewers at night which would likely be comparable to Texas / UT at night so they go with what gets more eyeballs overall I think. Texas at UT at night would’ve been great though for sure. I wouldn’t hate the 2:30 slot for LSU/Aggie but can’t complain about the night game. Great skate tomorrow. Gonna be fun.

To an extent they care, they want the most people watching in each time slot. If people didn't tune in for the noon games, they wouldn't keep putting teams that draw large viewership at noon. The problem is the viewers will still tune in for the game regardless of the time.

Can they change game times the week of? I ho stay dont know. A few weeks ago it was safer to bet texas loses to ohio state and lsu and a&m both are undefeated. Tennessee was behind them in the initial poles and haven't played anyone enough to say they deserve much of a bump until lsu, a&m and osu lost.
