Is it because they're more talented? Better coached? Less irrelevant, hilarious "turditions"? All of the above?

How can this happen?

Easy answer.

SMU lucked out and were rid of their former aggy coach.

My honest answer: they can run the football. We can't

Well, SMU's ESPN film is much better than A&M's.

That Junction Boys movie sucked arse.

Do you often wake up thinking about A&M?

#2 and #7

#1 will send us out of the polls for good.

We'll be worse than Memphis and App State by mid-October.

SMU probably paid 14 million for its coach.

Better QB, better coach and they are 5-0

Smu isn't the better football team. They're even in that category. Nod goes to least gay team.

Mainly because they are undefeated at this point in the season (5-0). Style points. Just looks better.

Arkansas isn’t even the best team in their state this year. D2 Ouachita Baptist and Henderson State could both pull out W’s, not to mention Central Arkansas or Arkansas State

Arkansas is probably the 4th best team in Arkansas

How is SMU better than A&M? Better question is why is this surprising?

Forget Texas and OU. The last 25 or so years we’ve seen Baylor, TCU, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State have runs of significant more success and national relevance than we’ve seen A&M have. A&M is just mediocre.

SMU went the transfer portal route big time. 15 players on this roster are from the portal. I think at least 5 were from Power 5 leagues, including their QB from Texas (Shane Buechele).

Sonny Dykes is a solid coach for SMU, he knows Texas HS football and if kids are going to play for a Non Power 5 team, DFW is a metro area with lots going on outside of college football, Pro Sports, music scene, dining, jobs, etc, etc.
