He is horrible on GameDay and does Sports Center, now trying to get more "SEC" one of the local radio stations in mid MO bumped SVP and picked up this chuckle head. The other day I had to listen to Tammy babble for five minutes.

Not only did NOLA not pick up Finebaum, they just dropped ESPN radio all together, for NBC sports radio.
Just another reason to love this city.

NM Rome is on CBS sports radio. The only other sports station we have.

Yea, we get that idiot Rome too. Luckily I am almost never in the car when he is on, so I don't have to worry about him too often.
I'm just glad I don't ever have to worry about deciding whether to listen to Cowherd or Dan Patrick talk about anything other than sports.

The better question is how couldn't he blow up?

He's the best troll in a region inhabitated with eager, hungry fish; he exclusively covers the second most popular sports organization in the country; and he has great guests.

And please, you know you love the calls. It's the main reason we listen.

If you didn't turn the station then I have absolutely no sympathy for you.

Because people like you listen to him.

If Finebaum is so horrible then don't listen to him. Plain and simple. I haven't listened to his radio show in years. To be more specific I haven't listened to him since he jumped off the Auburn bandwagon in the Shula years over to the Alabama Bandwagon when Saban was hired. Even then I didn't listen to it much.

Paul is GOOD friends with Mike Slyve (sp?). He used that to get his job with SEC TV. ESPN has a stake in SEC TV being a money maker. There fore they are putting F-Bomb on all their CFB shows.
You might as well get use to seeing his mug all over ESPN TV.
That is the short answer...

Really not that hard to figure out.

Finebaum had a very popular Birmingham radio show.He knows Slive the SEC commish and oftened dined with him in Birmingham.

PF paid many ESPN pundits to do his Birmingham show.

ESPN decides to hire PF and use him on its ESPN radio network and simulcast his show onto the SEC NETWORK in 2014.

ESPN has to make their new SEC network star a star, hence Sportcenter, Gameday, etc etc

His sole reason for being is to promote Alabama football and Saban . How ESPN could give national exposure to a mouth piece for one school is beyond me.

Name another journalist/ radio personality who evokes raw emotions like Paul .

He's great and loves everything about college football.

So all you who don't like Paul, go yourselves.

From my experience it's mostly among Bama, AU, and some LSU fans. Outside of those group, most he has not bearing on others.
