No troll here. Seriously, I thought they were going to be really good next year, but with all these players leaving it might be tough.

They obviously get Stidham back, but they lose Kerryon, Pettway, Carlton Davis, Carl Lawson and their kicker.

Arkansas made them keep Gus, so its likely they will be mediocre.

They usually win 7 or 8 games after they won 10 or more the previous year.

Their only instance of back to back 10 win seasons in their entire history was 1988/89.

On the roller coaster ride that is Auburn football, 2018 will be the inevitable drop on the track. 8-5 football at its finest.

Auburn will be fine. We've recruited at a high level for a long time. The biggest factor next year is the schedule.

If Stidham is back, they should still compete for the West. Their schedule appears to get noticeably easier.

Instead of Clemson, they play Washington in ATL... which should be a virtual home game.

Instead of Missouri in Columbia, they get Tennessee at home.

But the real gain for them is that the entire SEC West could see a slight to moderate drop-off. Bama will still be the best team, but they appear to be losing quite a bit. LSU should probably be worse off next year. Ole Miss and Arky will both struggle. I don't know much about State... they should be decent. Texas A&M will have a new coach.

The West... other than Bama... looks completely up for grabs in the 2-5 spots.

Huge loss. Replacing Montravious Adams will be a bitch as well.

Replacing Lawson will be tough for sure, however; I don't know if we can recover from the loss of Ronnie Brown!

Eh, I disagree. Don't forget Washington was a playoff team last year and I think they are pumped about playing this game in Atlanta. For Auburn fans, it's 3 in a row at Mercedes-Benz.
Considering what we did to Missouri and UT having a coach with a pulse, that's a wash at the very least. Then add the 2 road games at the end of the season and I'd say we are not better off in 2018.

They get Aggies at Kyle Field East, so there is a loss right there. They still should be at least a 9 win team.
