Texas doesn’t run the SEC. They like to talk big and strut around but they haven’t won anything in a very long time. For a team that couldn’t even win in the big 12 to act like they are some type of juggernaut is hilarious.
Georgia owns them. As will the upper level SEC teams soon enough.
It’s funny that they think it’s cool to throw millions at recruits to get them to sign. They should ask A&M how that worked out for them. Guess it takes a LOT of money lure recruits to Austin. Too bad.
Georgia and Bama don’t have that problem.

Lol. We're not A&M. That place is a different animal entirely.
Meh. Talk big all you want about how Texas hasn't won anything. It's the same message everyone says about everyone until they win a title. They used to say it about Michael Jordan, of all people. They said it about Kirby Smart before his back to backs. No real answer to it other than to win a national championship. We'll see if it ever happens at Texas. I like our chances.
We had three bad coaching tenures in a row (including Mack Brown's last few years), along with Sarkisian's first two years. Georgia went 23 years between conference championships, from 1982 to 2005. Curry, Donovan, Richt weren't as bad as most of the coaches Texas has hired in the last 40 years (well, Bill Curry was), but none of them exactly set the world on fire, either.
You act like Georgia is something other than a Johnny Come Lately. As long as you have Kirby Smart, I believe Georgia will be an elite program. The question comes when a coaching change occurs.
In the meantime, I'll gladly crow about the resource advantage Texas has. There's not some kind of unlimited budget. We've lost plenty of recruiting battles this cycle. Georgia certainly outbid us on Chase Calicut. Thanks for that, btw! But if we identify someone we really want there's definitely the ability to open the checkbook in a way other programs find it difficult to match. Hey, don't hate the playa. Hate the game. We didn't make the Supreme Court issue a unanimous ruling in NCAA vs. Alston. I wasn't a fan of the ruling at the time and I'm not a fan now, but if this is going to be the new environment I'm happy to see Texas take advantage of it. I"m also going to enjoy all the Georgia whining about losing Terry, and potentially Atkinson, Johnson, and Cooper. It's been hilarious!
You just keep believing it's never about the money with Georgia, and that's all Texas has to offer. I love all of it.

I don't know any OU fans that regret leaving the Big 12

That huge win vs the Vandy in 2025 sealed it.
Zero wins so far vs UGA, Bama, LSU, Tenn, and Ole Miss.

After Alabama at 10 Sugar Bowl wins only LSU, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma have 6. That is the standard for the SEC.

The brand is one of the top revenue draws in all of college sports.
And average would be the 25 state which Texas is not in per capita nfl talent.
Just like Cali its impossible to have the most per capita when your state is massive

They got a sweetheart schedule the first two years which has allowed them to pad. the sad part is sec had to do it because they know how soft the utrans fans are. If they didn't guarantee some sort of success for a few years (dangle that carrot of success), utrans would start looking to ruin the conference like they did the previous 2 they were in.

No doubt - many of you have made it clear you would point and laugh at a grocery store shitter.
In first grade, I would have too.

The short loins couldnt recruit the state well enough to win the lame-arse Big 12 on a regular basis..What makes you think they'll own the SEC? NIL? Several schools got big money for that....Like Texas Tech lol

How could a team that never came close to owning the Big 12 suddenly own the SEC in its second year in the conference?
Think about it!

This will always be a favorite. Still makes me laugh when I see it.

Liberals are moving to Austin from CA. Congratulations on being the #1 city for liberals to move to. What an achievement.

I get your point, but Texas did beat Bama in Tuscaloosa while Saban was still the coach. They were in their last season in the Big 12, Snapped a 21 game home winning streak for the Crimson Tide. I think it's a stretch to say Texas has zero wins against any of those teams, even if it occurred a year before Texas entered SEC play.

That's not right at all. First off, the "moving to Austin" craze has died off. 2nd thing - most of them considered themselves conservatives in California. Not "Texas" conservative, but west coast conservative. So they thought Austin would be about right for them.
Anyway, people are leaving Austin in droves these days.
