You do realize he has very good talent don't you? If recruiting rankings meant anything (and they sorta do, but not always) LSU should have won by more. I also give him credit for realizing he needed good coordinators. Auburn fans knew that Ensminger was pretty good from his years at Auburn. I think Auburn's DC was the one who got outcoached, and he has already stated it was his fault and took the blame.

What success?

Since taking over as LSU's full-time head coach, Ed Orgeron is now 12-4, and won 9 of his last 11, with three Top 10 wins. He also had success as interim at USCw and LSU.

Successfully brought in a Kicker and a QB.

All in all, not a bad record.

I'm going to be honest and say he's done better than I expected, so I was wrong. But it still feels like he's been luckier than, well, Gus himself. Since I'm being honest, though, I admit that I can't point to anything empirical to justify that statement. I can say more confidently that, as surprisingly competent as he's been, I don't see him as LSU's messiah coach to take them to the national title.

I think you're the same LSU you've been for the past decade. Good D, great talent, mediocre offense but enough to win a lot of games.

But yeah I absolutely think O has learned and grown as a coach. The problem is I think there is a ceiling. He doesn't bring the next level aspect that Saban, Meyer, etc... do. He's a good coach, but honestly it's surprising to see you guys settle for just good.

O's success

Huh? I must have missed this. He’s employed, I give him that. But he’s been fired from every job he ever had, including (lol) ole miss, right? And isn’t he on the hot seat still?

This thread is for those who have been paying attention and know LSU is 3-0 and played the hardest schedule in the country so far.

Maybe you should follow another sport?

Well, they apparently forgot all about that when Ensminger was made LSU's OC. All I saw last week from AU fans regarding E were a bunch of lol's.

I don’t think LSU has changed at all since Miles. They can go 8-4 or 10-2. Their talent always gives them a look at the basket. I honestly don’t think O has anything to do with it.

He has obviously figured it out and is now a great coach at almost 60 years old. Happens every day. The movie about him will be awesome.

Does that make Hugh Freeze a great coach?

The early beating of chests by our fans is a little embarrassing. Yes, things look good so far, and the win at JH was huge. But it’s early... very early.

Success?

Hmmm...

Has he won the SEC or a Natty?

Ed will never win either.

Yes, it is early this year. I am talking about USCw and LSU the since taking over as interim. Has a much better record than his dismal ole miss showing.
