Tide players are shown the monetary importance of being picked in the early rounds (1st or 2nd) by their predecessors (millions), so staying one more year and playing with elite talent around you should insure your success.

They’re already getting paid
Amazing to me all these athletes Alabama and Clemson offer and want go somewhere else when the money is just that good. Almost like they are getting paid by the other schools too

Najee Harris - Sr.
Projected as a 2nd-4th round pick. Came back to improve stock
Devonta Smith - Sr.
Loaded receiving class last year. 8 of the first 34 picks in the draft
Alex Leatherwood - Sr.
Loves the tide
Dylan Moses - Sr.
Coming off a season ending injury. Possibly could have fallen in the draft
This, and Waddle and Surtain had no option not to come back.
That said, Waddle needed to prove he could be more than a return man. He'll get plenty of opportunity this year to get increased tgts and display his full skillset.
Surtain has 1st round potential, but hasn't reached it yet. Incredible athlete who can lockup a 1st round pick this year with a 3rd year in Saban's system.
I'd like to say they are all just bought in, team players that want to not be the first group under Saban to go 3 years without a championship, but, outside of Leatherwood (and even him to a degree as well), all are just making business decisions.
Chase for LSU is a completely different story. His stock could only go down. He made the right decision for himself as well.

Saban doesn't. The bag men do.
