We also finished our ‘58 championship in NOLA.

We beat Clemson 3-0

Surely, UGA dominates the SECCG every year with that homefield advantage.

Homefield is not just crowdnoise. Its your pregame routine going uninterrupted. Its normalcy for you while the other team travels.

We stole some money from a children's hospital to buy home field advantage

The same way auburn, bama, or uga would if they had one in Atlanta. Or texas/ou in the cotton bowl. Or usc in the rose bowl. Or UK basketball having tourney games in Louisville.

Didn’t work out so well for LSU the last time.

Oh you Bama fans. At least you’ll have memories of the past.

UGA played Bama in Atlanta for a national championship. The SEC Championship game is always a home game for UGA in Atlanta as they control 70 to 80 percent of the crowd every year

And 1958

in 1958, LSU had already won the NC (AP, UPI polls and others), before the Sugar Bowl game against Clemson. No polls were conducted after the bowl games in those days.

That one had nothing to do with location. Miles thought the game plan that produced 6 points in regulation in November was brilliant so he didn’t even bother discussing a new one.
