How do you outplay an opponent and lose?

In a game of defense and field position, perhaps you should be asking why Saban was trying FG's well out of foster's range and not trying to pin LSU deep.

Logic?

What's illogical about thinking your kicker(s) should make at least three out of six, even if some were long. We're not talking 50+ here.

Really? CF missed a 44 in the first and made a 46 in the second. Also drilled a 49 vs MSU the next week. Those fgs, except the one in OT, were well within his range.

Fact is Saban took chances to win. Miles took none to win.
