I expect it to be ugly. Earlier in the year CNS was using games to work on parts of his offense. I think he is satisfied, and now wants to work on the sum of the parts. I expect him to be able to take our starters out early again this week. The defense is gonna miss Vinnie, but I don't think that much for this game. The D is playing so well I just don't see TN scoring many points. Weird shite happens on the field, but if none happens Saturday, I doubt we lose our #1 scoring defense rating. This team hasn't shown any signs of taking other teams for granted. Probably not going to this week. Not much TN can do against a focused 2013 Bama team. 41-7
the trenches could make the diffference in this game
Also, correct me if i'm wrong, but we are the best defense ya'll have seen up to date. I think it'll be closer than you think. We lead the SEC in interceptions, and our secondary had been playing lights out. We held Aaron Murray and Connor Shaw to less than 200 yds. And our front seven is fairly good once you take away the Oregon games stats outlier.

My expectation is more schedule complaints from LSU fans---but I could be wrong.

UT has no depth on defense. They have one real threat in #8 and Pig and Neal are solid players, but that won't be enough options to keep Bama's D from pinning their ears back. We'll load up the box throw a safety over the top of #8 and keep their offense boxed in.
Our offense should exploit UT's lack of pass rush and you don't have LBs that can cover our athletic TE, H-Back or slot WRs.
We'll expose #45 he's all show, Butch didn't even want him to start this year, he takes bad angles, doesn't use proper form and won't be much of an impact.
Expect pain early often, and lots of it.

I think so too but there's always hope.

Cade Foster's GW FG is blocked by UT. However, they are flagged for offsides. Re-kick is good from 50 yards out. 9-7 Bama.

#8 is a special player, and Pig is a lot better than you're giving him credit for. He's fast. our best part of our O is our line, and Neal and Lane will capitalize on that

We had 4 sacks last game.

Yeah he's slow. But his angles have been improving. he had 12 tkls against UGa and 8 against Usc. Also I don't know what bs you re talking about. Our coach obviously wanted one of the SEC's leading tackler from last year to start...

VT was the best D we will play all year by far, but we were still building an offensive line at that time. I think Saban is pleased with where we are right now and willing to see what this offense can do. We will see, but I believe this O can be scary good, and I think it's the time of the season for CNS to let them play.

Honestly, I haven't seen enough of Tennessee this year to say for sure, but I'd be surprised if UT's defense is better than Virginia Tech. Now, Virginia Tech did do a good job stopping Alabama's offense (Bama still won 35-10), but Alabama's offensive, particularly the offensive line, has improved a lot since that game.

The only thing your going to expose is your lack of knowledge on UTs offense other then what you've read on here or watched on a 2 minute high light reel.
Pig Howard has been the "real threat" all season with North coming into his own last weekend mixed in with a few big plays here and there. The dude didn't even have a TD before the UGA game. He will be special, but he's just now learning how to come in his own.

Wrong again, the LB position has been one of the most consistent positions for us this season with Johnson and Brewer. The DL forced 4 sacks against a solid South Carolina OL and 2 or 3 on UGA.
We'll cover the line, and make some plays. Just not enough

I'm hoping that AJ's remarks about not seeing it as a rivalry are how the entire Bama team feels. Tennessee's best chance is Bama feeling we're an automatic win. While I know Saban and Bama fans won't be caught looking ahead, a team filled with players who are used to beating us soundly may make that mistake.
I hope that is how the entire team feels as well. I guess I take that comment in a different way. Not that it is an automatic win or disparaging towards TN, but that TN is just the next team on the schedule no more and no less. Has nothing to do with rivalry or any other hype, just the next ones in line to get processed.

Our RB Neal has made some serious strides this season, and our O-line has really improved on run blocking in the new scheme.
I've thought pretty highly of Neal for the past two seasons. He's definitely underated as far as SEC RBs are concerned.
UT will play us tough for the first half then Bama will wear them down and end up with a comfortable win. 24/17 to 0/7 first half type of score and a final around 40-9

31-10 ---- 28-13 ish.

Yeah, Saban's whole thing is about "The Process." Even in the BCSNCSG, it was just another game, the only thing that mattered was giving everything you had on the next play and doing it perfectly. Don't think about what it means to win or lose, or the play that just happened...nothing but the play in front of you.
I think that's one of the reasons AJ has been so great in big games so far. He's just playing one play at a time.

And I agree that y'all have some players even tho Saturday was the first full game I've watched. But like AJ and the rest of the team have been taught to say, this isn't about TN, it's about Alabama. If everybody on Bama's team does what they are supposed to on every play, I honestly don't believe y'all have enough players yet to accomplish much.
There will of course be breakdowns. It will be a matter of whether or not TN takes advantage of those breakdowns. And
There won't be many.
