bama's db's practiced everyday against Julio Jones last year. its not like they havent seen Randle before, they have lots of tape on him, d. carter is mimicing him on the scout team, our safeties have both been in the program for four years, all our corners are 6'0" and have lots of experience.

RR is not near the threat from a physical standpoint of a Julio or AJ. He is a lite version of AJ Green and games like this are not typically win by guys like that. Solid, but no gamechanger.

man come the frick on. At the end of the year RR will be the best receiver in the sec and a number 1 draft pick. Him and lee are improving so much every week its scary.

Wanna bet?

Come on man. Randle is a great player, but Hunter is phenomenal. UT's ENTIRE offense was geared around him and the defenses they faced would put 3 on him and he'd still dominate. Hunter, if he heals completely, will be a top 15 pick in the NFL draft IMO. Take off the purple and gold glasses bud...

Hunter played in 2 games this year against Montana and Cinci. Last year, he was almost purely a redzone receiver.

Where the frick do people get this stupid myth from? Hunter is exceptional at what he did last year (redzone, good luck out jumping him). Randle is exceptional in every facet of his game.

He's close to their size, if not equal. He also has the same speed and strength. If he stays healthy he'll end up with better stats than Julio or AJ ever had while in college. He's also averaging 5 yards more per catch than either ever did. Which means he's more of a home run threat. His 19.33 YPC is higher than Robert Woods, Broyles, Blackmon, Floyd, Alshons, and many other great receivers. He has 33 receptions so his stats aren't skewed

A 6'7" corner that runs a 4.3?

Comparing Randle to Byrd might be one of the worst player comparisons I've ever seen. I just wish everyone else associated with bama football could be thinking the same comparison.

Uh what did Randle do his first two seasons? I remember y'all trying to compare him to Julio and AJ. He's had a good season so far, but compared to the hype he got out of high school, he doesn't measure up.

What a dumb arse thread. LSU fans building up Randle like he's some Andre Johnson like uncoverable force, basically flaming bama fans into talking him down like he's average and they'll shut him down.

Truth is, he's really good and one of the best receivers in the league. He's not a super freak/top 10 pick, but he's an NFL player and a great athlete. and we're coming off games against UF,UT and AU who all have shitty dbs outside a couple guys. Bama does have the guys to match up with him. He may burn them for some big plays, he may not.

But seriously, this shite about how can he be covered?? he's not THAT good. there isn't a receiver in college i would say that about, maybe blackmon. Bracket him with 3 guys? Saban's whole philosophy is recruiting great corners that can match up on the outside, that's one of the biggest components of his defense and allows him the freedom to get creative. he won't roll 2 extra guys toward RR.

You summed it up nicely. He'll get man to man coverage and that's it. If he lights up, more power to him. But Bama ain't game planning around a guy that has 3 catches against them in two games.
