Alabama will be the first team to employ safeties against LSU.

I played safety. . .I coached secondary.

I wouldn't know what to tell my kids, other than "Blitz"

You're kidding right? We have DBs that can cover Randle. It's dumb to think otherwise.

So they won't be pushing up supporting the run?

Not equating their respective skill levels..but if he gets alligator arms, it makes it a hell of a lot easier for UA..

They dont have a single DB that can cover him 1 on 1, and Saban knows it. They will bracket 3 DBs to his side of the field

This, but not if that leaves Randle one on one. Lee and Jefferson have both shown they can pass with decent accuracy against rush and if Randle's one on one chances are Randle's coming down with the ball and getting in the endzone.

Bama doesn't really blitz to get pressure, so Randle wouldn't necessarily be one on one. The safety will certainly be cheating towards him.

Look I know Randle is good but Alabama has serviceable DBs too. He should makes some catches but I don't expect it to be a cakewalk for him.

To me, this is as big of a factor in the game as any. LSU's WR trio of Randle, ODBJr and Shep has to be a nightmare for bama's secondary. This is where LSU wins the game. Getting the ball to these WRs.

Dude, we have arguably the best DBs in the nation, maybe second to yall. If they can completely shut down Arky's WRs, then they can damn sure shut LSU's down. It's not that crazy of an opinion.

RR is the best WR in the SEC, bar none. He will be the best they have faced, and I garuntee you Saban doesnt ask any one of them to cover RR 1 on 1

Damn Roaad, you love you some Randle. The guy is good, but Alabama's DBs are future NFL players too. It's not as much of a mismatch as you are making it out to be. If Randle is this good and can't be covered, just throw the ball up to him everytime, easy gameplan, right? Dude isn't going to be running free all day.

I think they could shutdown OBJ and Shep. You guys would need PP7 to cover Randle.

Let it go. UA holding the Petrino coached throwing attack of Arkansas to 14 points doesn't amount to squat in light of the down field prowess of LSU.

How do you tackle Trent Richardson? You can't, he's the best RB the LSU defense has seen all year.

Do you see how stupid this sounds? Cause that's how you sound.
