One thing that hasn't really been brought up but is another reason for A&M calling Texas "little bro" is they copied virtually all of our traditions.
Texas Fight is based on Farmers Fight.
You love to rag on A&M for talking about you in our Fight song but your fight song has "Goodbye to A&M" in it, however that makes sense because if you go to a Texas game most of the fans don't even know the words to your own songs.
Hex Rally was a response to Bonfire.
Bevo is linked to our branding your mascot with 13-0.
You took Longhorns as your nickname from our Yearbook after your original name was Varsity.
On and on it goes. You guys love to give us crap about our traditions but then you come up with cheap copies of them.

Arturo, the fact that they awarded the title before the bowl games had to do with the fact that they considered bowl games to be "exhibitions"...
It had nothing to do with players not playing. In fact all the players DID play in those bowl games. Nobody sat out... they didn't even think about it.

What do Longhorns and Aggies have in common? They both applied to UT-Austin.
A&M didnt even participate in the PUF until after WW2.
Texas has always been a better school and that gap grows wider every year now that A&M has decided to expand enrollment and become a diploma mill.
A&M was an all male school until 1963, thus their disturbingly homosexual behavior that they spin as "traditions".
Texas absolutely dominates the all time series. In our first 8 games A&M didnt score a single point against us. We outscored them 157-0. We lead the series 78 - 37 - 5.
Between 1940 and 1974 they won 3 total games in the series. The only thing they have over us ever is going 9-1 from 1984 - 1994. Respectable stretch, but we dominated before then and we have dominated since.
The best thing they ever did was leave for the SEC (because they were especially short dicked after their big brother got their own network), and then the conference invited us as well without even telling them in humiliating fashion.
