How different would college football look now had Tebow chosen Alabama over Florida?

Pretty wild to think about, but Tebow was a hair away from joining Alabama. If that happens, I think Shula keeps his job and the dominoes fall differently. Where does Saban wind up back then?
It's crazy to think about, but is there another player whose decision would have had such a major impact?

Was Bama as talented as Florida was? Did you guys have a lot of talent back then?

I think the best odds are him staying in the NFL in 2007. The only other prestigious job opening was at Miami, and I can’t see him just hopping across town.
If he had another down year in 2007 he could have looked to get back in 2008. Auburn had an opening that year.

Saban would have gone to Florida.
