LSU could not hit -- it was an obvious problem all year. And they pulled off many close low scoring games due to excellent pitching. This was an average LSU team that over achieved in conference play due to great pitching. Quite frankly, SB was a better team. BUt I also predicted they would lose two in row in Omaha

The better question is why they stuck UF and SC against each other.

Lot of butthurt LSU fans in here...

Sorry you didn't make Omaha while UF, SC and Arkansas did.

Better luck next year.

How many SEC schools are going to make TD Ameritrade before LSU finally gets to?

It must be nice to have at least one sport you can start threads about without getting laughed at, congrats

Too many people with a football attitude in this thread. It's baseball. shite happens and a lot of the time the better team loses. Way more often than football.

shite like this makes it really for hard for me to pull for the SEC. A part of me wants to but another part of me says frick IT. Any other school I might feel a SEC chant coming on but frick Arkansas.

Enjoy Omaha while you can.

If Arky had pulled Stony Brook in their super then the pigs wouldn't be in Omaha right now.

True story.

I agree. I'm glad we didn't have to play them.

Stony Brook was the better team, LSU really wasn't that good this year. I wasn't supried losing to Stony Brook. The Tiger's couldn't hit all year, it wasn't like LSU was going to magically turn it on in the Supers or Omaha for that matter.

Although our gameplan seemed to do the trick when we swept the pigies.....

Likewise, I am sorry that Arkansas didn't go to Atlanta last year.

I feel better now.

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.

It's been bothering me for a long time.

I've been an LSU fan long enough to see what a National Championship team looks like. LSU didn't have it. Good team, but not national champion level good.

Its not like you don't ever see an average team get hot and take 2 out of 3 from a team that is clearly better than them. Happens all the time.

I agree. I just was watching this team in Alex Box for most of the season and kept thinking, "Man I really don't think we make it past the Supers."
