As a 34 year old man i must admit its a bit odd seeing the Gators down this bad.
Right when I get into College Football in my early teens I witness LSU get 11 out of 13 arse thumpings by this team in the 90s and early 2000s.
They were due.....Cyclical nature of college football finally hit them.

Um,where I understand your frustration about '45,I'm not sure I'd use that verb to describe Army's decison considering the times and what had just taken place.
I'm talking about the football team. A lot of those guys were officers in training who never saw any combat whatsoever. And yes, they did pussy out instead of battling it out for #1 like any decent American would have done in 1945. <.<

Anyway, we haven't fallen that far. We only got trounced last year by the two teams that played in the national championship. The rest, with even an average offense (which we did not have) we could have won (I know WG, not the UG game, yadda). We haven't lost to UK or Vandy yet....

I disagree with this reasoning. CFB is a cycle, but that's not why UF is down.
UF is down because of poor talent evaluations towards the end of Meyer's tenure at UF, and having no quality depth because we were down a full class last year in numbers.

combination of things. I think meyer missed on some recruits (going too much for speed over power). I also think the gators, as many teams with alot of success, started believing all they had to do was show up. This isnt a huge problem as long as the coach is there to drive them back in line. Meyer, however, was pretty much just showing up himself in 2010, so it made for a bad combination.
Edit: you could really see this mentality starting to creep in in 2009. Despite having almost everyone back, anyone who watched the 2009 gators could see they just didnt have that spark/drive/intangible that the 2008 team had.

I think UF had like 3 less players on roster than UGA did last year...

66 on scholarship and one or two of those were former walk-ons.

As bad as we were last couple of years, we still beat Tennessee every year.

18 of 22. We lead the series by 2020.

I think you mean a lot of wins. Goff was an idiot that was only hired because he was a great player for us in the 70s and was a Georgia guy. Richt has accomplished 10x what Goff ever did.

Not to mention that 2 down years isn't really indicative of the cyclical nature. Now, if we have 5-6+ down years in a row and are irrelevant in SEC/BCS contention, then that discussion can take place.
But right now, it's more of bad coaching/evaluations/attrition/underperforming players/etc.

So what about the NC we had before Spurrier? Sure, it was * but does that mean it was never won in the first place?
Actually it "was never won in the first place". What the hell are you talking about? UF's first NC was in 1996 under Spurrier. Are you referring to the '84 team that got whacked with 107 MAJOR NCAA violations?

I know we can all agree on this!

Meyer was burned out and mailed it in for 2010. Hard to blame him because he tried to quit and we wouldn't let him. We went absolutley wheels off that year and it is hard to get it back on track immediately after that. Muschamp still has to learn as a head coach, but hopefully he will learn quickly. I expect a big improvement this year. We shall see. I mean it can't be that hard if a dumbass like Miles can be successful. Of course he did get caught cheating. Only time will tell.

Shows how little you know. The Championship was vacated six months AFTER the season ended, and thus was WON then vacated.....stick with me Spanky, you might learn something.
