This Georgia team also squeaked by Auburn.

Keep in mind Auburn didn’t spend 10 minutes working on New Mexico State. They prepared for Alabama for minimum two weeks.

Auburn is a much better team in 2023 than they themselves believe they are. Unfortunately they don't have confidence in themselves to go out and play at a high level game. They're capable but the culture there is such that they believe Bama and Georgia are their Superbowl or reason for being. That's a shame. They could be much better but they don't seem to believe it.

You're right, but they don't have to be. Auburn has an inferiority complex.

We constantly forget these are mostly 18-23 year olds.

Just about every college football team has a pretty broad range of variance just due to the age of the players and their emotional maturity.

One of the reasons why Saban is brilliant is that he's been able to limit that variance to a substantial degree due to his recruitment of mature players and his emphasis on process.

Bingo. That's a goody.

I don't know if this is true but I believe most Bama and Auburn fans/players believe this to be true and thus we get the Iron Bowls we've gotten.
