Austin was once a nice town. Now the traffic is abysmal, and I mean we are approaching LA levels of suck. The homeless litter the streets around downtown Austin, and trash is everywhere. 6th street is absolutely terrible.

The suburbs around Austin are okay, but downtown Austin is honestly terrible to visit. Austin grew too much too quick and doesn't have the infrastructure to support the growth. Everything there is STILL under construction out by the airport..

I had heard it was mutual and he was told that he needs a fresh start somewhere else.
How true that is I have no clue. Glad he's doing well and landed on a great team, however.

You might have missed his end of season swoon last year. He fell off a cliff and so did the rest of the team.

Glad he is doing well in his new digs and still tormenting the ags.

I always want players who transfer from Texas to do well in their new spots as long as they don't transfer to Oklahoma.

campus, and Texas is surrounded by the homeless and filth in downtown Austin

Yes, but they're mostly aggies. We've asked em to go back to BCS but they claim there's no overpasses there, where they can get outta the rain.

Speaking of, how is Ashton Larson playing

He's playing well. Texas started the season with a freshman from Georgia in LF. He didn't seem to hustle and messed up fielding a couple of fly balls he should have chased down and caught.
2nd or 3rd game into the season Larson starts in LF like he wants to be there. He's playing well, batting. 333 and I haven't seen him mess anything up. Fielding well and with hustle. Making the right decisions getting the ball back into the infield.
I like him.

He fricking sucked last year. Good on him for doing better in a new environment. Aiden Robbins from Seton Hall has been an absolute positive.

That is not entirely true....

He had a horrible close to the season and definitely fricking sucked during that window of time but his start to the season was pretty solid.

Had 11 HR by 4/4/2025 - would hit 2 the rest of the season
Had 44 RBI by 4/22/2025 - had 5 the rest of the season
Had 42 hits by 4/22/2025 - had 9 the rest of the season

It was all about the end of year tank and him wanting him to go home

Bro the traffic in Austin is literally no different than any other city in the country. New Orleans may actually have worst traffic. Only Mo Pac gets really bad and going over the Colorado on I35.

Might be why I don't live in a big city. I went to school in Austin and genuinely liked the town. I absolutely loathe visiting there now, but a lot of cities in Texas have become like that. The loop around Dallas is basically a parking lot these days.

I would and DO pay the large toll fee to bypass that traffic in downtown Austin when visiting clients in both Austin and San Antonio.

Will Gasparino sucked after that Missouri game. most of those 11 HRs were against midweek teams and missouri. same with those RBIs. He only hit 1 HR against teams that werent Missouri.

11/20 RBIs in conference play were against Missouri.
4/5 HRs were against Missouri.

If you get into traffic then you don't actually live in Austin. Or you have to commute across the city where you have to go through the exact two places I mentioned.

Austin definitely sucks more now than pre-COVID, that's for sure.

Way to Tell us you’ve never been to Austin

It’s by far the worst traffic and drivers in Texas

Not an attack on the cow college, it’s just the worst traffic, nowhere in Texas is it even close
