Q : How did Missouri get into the SEC?

A: Slive needed big cable markets to launch the unprecedented (at the time) SEC Network. Mizzou delivered rich cable markets. It had NOTHING to do with future performance in the conference. NOTHING! It was a wildly successful strategy. Anyone who knows ANYTHING about business and contracts understands this. Clearly you do not!

Yea. It is all about if the SEC or Big Ten getting markets now...and the ST Louis marketplace is big.

Real answer - SEC needed someone to partner A&M and UNC and VT stupidly said no. Also heard NC State was asked but can't confirm.
